BOXLEY
HEADLINES SATURDAY
By Jesse Kelley

Willshaun Boxley (5-1) returns to boxing action this Saturday,
August 8th at Wyatt Earps Bar in Ramsey, MN. Boxley wastes no time getting
back in the ring following his first loss as a professional last June.
In that bout, the ultra-confident fighter found himself in unfamiliar
territory against Marylands Thomas Snow. The fight couldn't have started
better for Boxley as stunned and rocked Snow with seconds to tick in the
opening round. Snow changed things up however and circled, jabbed and
moved for much of the remaining rounds rather then fight with Boxley.
Boxley successfully avoided Snow's shots but seemed to lack the wind to
track Snow down until the final round. Boxley talked about his fight with
Snow, his brewing rivalry with Allen Litzau and more.
Talk about your recent decision loss to Thomas Snow.
I feel like the fight with Snow was all my fault. I lost, although he
was running the whole time. If he wasn't, I would have knocked him out!
Especially if I had been in the gym training for it. I've learned my lesson.
From now on I will prepare for each and every fight or fighter.
You and Allen Litzau exchanged words last week, center ring at a Saint
Paul fight card. Talk about what happened
at the Armory.
At the Armory, I was already upset that my fight fell threw so let's
just say that Al made me feel better at the end of the night. Even though
I was terribly upset, It's hard to explain, but this guy (Litzau) really
thinks he's the sh**. He really has no idea what I am capable of doing
to him with his basic style of fighting. If he doesn't B**** out after
feeling all the pressure of a Boxley versus Al Litzau fight then he's
going to get seriously hurt. Not because I just want to hurt him, but
because my style is superior to his. I have nothing against this guy but
when he finally gets in the ring with me, I will tear him apart. I want
him to know that Boxley is no average Joe that he can just call out anywhere,
in anyway. He has to know by now that he isn't on my level. You have to
be on my level to call me out, since he did anyways I have to make him
respect me. I don't want to knock him out early like everyone says I should
because I want to punish him for embarrassing this sport I love! I don't
hate the guy but he loves to pull stunts like this. I don't want to be
a part of his stunts though because it's always something lame!
You will be facing a fighter from Virginia by the name of James Frank.
What can you tell us about him?
I think that James Frank should be just another opponent unless he starts
to run (laughing)! No, but for real, his only losses are from tough contenders
so he has some great experience, but he's 38. So I should win by ko by
round 3, 4, or 5. I can't see this fight making it to the sixth unless
the guy totally covers up the whole time, which would piss me off. Then
I will go to the body and knock him out!
Anything else you would like to add?
I just want to give thanks to the lord for giving me my great abilities.
I also want to thank COD for everything they've done for me, Seconds Out
& ACR, my sponsor who's such a great guy Graig (Epic Realty) last
but never the least because they are so important to my fight game are
my fans because every time I hear the chants I take the necessary risks
that is needed sometimes to win a fight!
