Boxley lost a unanimous decision to Ronny Rios moments ago in Las
Vegas. The bout took place after the two televised main events.

update:
Donovan George knocked out Phil Williams in round three.

11:16 pm and the fight is underway. 1 round in the books,
not a lot of action so far. -updates from Brett Mauren at the arena
Vanda-Manfredo
update:
Through 4 rounds, Manfredo may be up as he is stealing rounds
late. Good action though it seems.
Vanda dropped in sixth by a body shot, get's up and makes
bell but down big now. Vanda may be tiring.
Vanda getting hit hard to body through round 8, still fighting
back.
Vanda has his best round in the 10th and final round, throwing
big shots but wasn't able to over come the pressure from Manfredo
losing a unanimous decision. Scores read 100-89 x2 and 99-90.
David Laque (1-3-1) fought to a four round draw with Bobby
Jaskierny (4-2-1).
Harley Kilfian (8-4) was stopped in the first round by a
body shot delivered by Gayrat Ahmedov (13-0). Kilfian was on the

Boxley says that Roger Mayweather will help work his corner tonight
for his bout with Ronny Rios. " This guy (Rios) is 19 but he's
a three time national champion that is signed with Oscar De La Hoya.
I want to let everybody know that I will be taking him very serious.
I want to win by KO" said Boxley.

Tomorrow night
will be a huge road night for five MN fighters. Phil "The Drill"
Williams (11-2) travels to Chicago to face hometowner Donovan George(18-0).
David LaQue (1-3) of Bloomington will also be on the Chicago card
against Bobby Jaskierny (4-2). Matt Vanda (42-9) takes on Peter
Manfredo (33-6) for the NABF title in Connecticut. Willshaun Boxley
(5-3) faces undefeated Ronny Rios (8-0) in Las Vegas. Boxley will
have Acr teammates Caleb Truax and Tony Grygelko working his corner.
Also on the vegas card will be MN/WI's Harley Kilfian (8-3). Kilfian
faces Gayrat Ahmedov (12-0). Rochester's Scott Ball would have been
the third MN boxer on the Vegas card but was unable to pass part
of his pre-fight medicals.
Vanda's bout will be replayed on Wednesday Feb 3rd on superchannel.ca.
There is a small chance Boxley's fight will be shown on the Fox
Sports broadcast. Stay tuned for results from all of these fights
as they happen.
