Joey "Minnesota Ice" Abell (25-4, 24 KO's) stopped
Larry "Super King" White (3-7, 3KO's) in round two earlier tonight
in Mounds View, MN. Abell cleverly landed big left hands to the head in
round one while bobbing and weaving away from White's counter punching
attempts. White did a lot of talking and mocking of Abell in round one,
inviting the big southpaw to engage him. Abell smiled as he rocked White
on several occasions.
A big right uppercut from Abell rocked White early in round two. White
switched his passive strategy after taking the shot and came forward with
heavy punches. A slugfest momentarily broke out as both men looked to
land a knockout punch. Abell put an end to White's KO hopes with a crushing
right hand to the head that sent him slumping to the canvas where referee
Mark Nelson waived the fight off midway through the round.

In other action, Jon "Iron Man" Schmidt (9-1, 7 KO's) stopped
Dan Copp (0-1) in round three. Schmidt spent most of the fight stalking
Copp with a hard jab and body punches. Copp, an MMA fighter, constantly
circled and moved while throwing countering punches. After two slower
rounds, Schmidt turned up the pressure in round three. A right hand to
the head staggered Copp and sent him stumbling to the ropes. Schmidt followed
up with another right to the head that sent Copps mouth piece flying and
Mark Nelson stopped the fight at 1:49 of the third round.

Jeremy McLaurin (4-0, 4 KO's) was too much for southpaw Harold McLeod
(0-2). McLaurin peppered McLeod with his jab early. A hard right hand
to the head dropped Mcleod along the ropes near the end of the opening
round. McLoud beat the count and made the bell but his corner stopped
the fight between rounds.

Charles Meier (2-1, 1 KO) stopped Ryan Stock (0-1) at 1:21 of the third
round in the nights opening bout. Both men had their moments in the bout
but Meirer's more technical style began to wear on Stock as the fight
went on. A barrage of hard head punches had Stock covering up hurt in
round three. Two left hooks and a right to the body sent Stock to the
canvas at 1:21 of the third round where Nelson waived the fight off.

The bout between Rocky Graziano and Quincy Miner did not take place. Word
is that Miner had an argument with his girlfriend and decided to leave
the fight venue moments before his bout.
