2021 Upper Midwest Golden Gloves Finals Cancelled

It was announced on Thursday, July 15, 2021 that due to unforeseen circumstances that the 2021 Upper Midwest Golden Gloves Championships have do to take place this Saturday, July 17th have been cancelled. Many boxers were forced to drop out in the recent days and there were no longer enough bouts taking place to save the event.
Although not confirmed, we have come to the conclusion that positive Covid tests were the reason for most, if not all of the boxers being forced out of the tournament.

As of now, Minnesota will not be sending a team to the National tournament which is set to take place on August 9th-14th of 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Rumors have been floating that UMGG board members are trying to find a way to send some of the boxers that are still able to participate to Nationals. Stay tuned for updates.
