BOXING: ABELL STOPPED IN 7TH ROUND WAR

“Minnesota Ice” Joey Abell (34-10, 9 KO’s) stood toe to toe with world class Tomasz Adamek (53-5, 31 KO’s) before being stopped in round 7 moments ago in Poland. Abell and Adamek exchanged bombs throughout the heavyweight bout. Adamek’s body attack was key and he dropped Abell three times in all. The final knockdown was setup by a body shot but finished with a right to the chin. Abell was bloodied after round 4 but continued to fight back valiantly until the end when the referee stepped in to stop the fight. Fans who tuned in gave both Abell and Adamek huge respect for the fight they put up. You can watch the full fight below as well as a post fight video from Joey Abell.
