BOXING: AL SANDS FACES “DIABLO” IN POLAND THIS SATURDAY
Former WBA-NABA USA and MN State cruiserweight champion Al Sands (20-3, 18 KO’s)of Duluth, MN will face former two-time world champion and hometown hero Krzysztof “Diablo” Wlodarczyk (55-4-1, 38 KO’s) tomorrow night (October 6th) in Zakopane, Poland. The fight takes place at approximately 4 PM Central time and can be seen streamed live HERE. You need a VPN to use that link because the stream is blocked in the USA. The fighters weighed-in this afternoon with both hitting their mark. Sands weighed 198 while Wlodarczyk was a pound heavier at 199. Sands had a six-week training camp and says he is ready to fight tomorrow night.
“He’s a two-time world champion with plenty of experience” said Sands. “I know he comes to fight every time he steps in that ring. We’ve trained really hard for this one and I am bringing my “A” game.”
