BOXING: CASE-ALLAN VS. SANGSTER “FACE TO FACE” FIGHT PREVIEW

Heavyweights Andrew Case-Allan (debut) of Minneapolis, MN and Canada’s Colin Sangster (1-0) will collide in a four rounder this Saturday night at the MPLS Convention Center. “Golden” Caleb Truax headlines in a super middleweight bout against David Basajjamivule which is scheduled for 10 rounds.
Case-Allan will be making his boxing pro debut after compiling a 4-1 amateur record in MMA. He says he spent some of his boxing training camp working at the North Side Boxing Gym while also working with “The Wolfman” Marty Lindquist at Valhalla Combat.
Colin Sangster scored a TKO win in his pro boxing debut last October in Duluth, MN and believes his amateur boxing experience will be the difference maker. These two heavyweights promise an explosive clash on Saturday night. See what the two heavy-hitters had to say in this “FACE TO FACE” fight preview.

ANDREW CASE-ALLAN: I don’t know what to expect from my opponent and at this point, It doesn’t matter. I’m going to go in there and fight my fight and give him all I have. Anytime I’ve done that, I’ve finished guys and I don’t expect this fight to be any different. Fight fans can expect a war but if we’re being honest, I have never really had one of those. I hit hard, and I’m the fastest big man you’ve ever seen. All I can say to fight fans is don’t blink.

I want to thank my sponsors Origin CBD, Ink Shrinks Tattoo, Nurturing Hands Massage, Performance Welding, as always Valhalla Combat Sports in Fridley, MN, and my newest sponsor Cup Perfections. I want to thank my trainer and boxing coach Marty Lindquist. I’d also like to give a huge shout out to Phil “The Drill” Williams on a great career and being willing to have me come train over at North Side Boxing Club. I kind of feel like I’m putting North Minneapolis on my back for this fight. This fight is huge for me. I have never fought in front of a home crowd before so that alone is going to be energizing. I’m not here for a short time. I’m here to make waves in the heavyweight division and bring that Mike Tyson attitude back. This isn’t a game. If you get in there with me, I’m there to hurt you. I’m excited for Saturday night. Northside Stand Up!

COLIN SANGSTER: The fight is definitely in my favor being a long time boxer but I expect him to have heavy hands. I’m not taking it lightly being an MMA guy coming to boxing. I am sure he is coming to fight. I’ve only been back boxing now for two years after having 35 fights as an amateur in my mid 20’s, being 42 now. I always kept the boxing workouts going through the year until I discovered masters boxing and had a few fights which re-lit my fire to finish my young plans of going pro. My first fight was successful. I feel like I have a good game plan and will take each fight as they come.

I plan on bringing fire to meet fire and I have some special fuel that’s going to burn hotter than ever!
