BOXING: GENERATION NEXT BOXING RESULTS FROM DULUTH

Danny “Lionheart” Huffman (now 3-0-1, 1 KO) of Duluth, MN remained unbeaten on Friday, October 11th with a four round majority decision victory over Jake Henriksen (3-5) of Glyndon, MN. The fight took place at Duluth’s Sports Garden and the boxers weighed in two pounds over the welterweight limit. The meeting turned out to be an entertaining back and forth battle. Huffman used good lateral movement and hard straight punches according to his coach Zach Walters to pick up the win.

Walters’ nephew Jesse “Primo” Walters moved to (2-0, 2 KO’s) with a dynamite TKO victory over Tyler Stokes (now 0-1) in front of his hometown fans. Walters says that Stokes started the fight aggressively with bad intentions, but ran into some well timed and placed punches from Walters which crumbled him to the canvas . A few seconds after the first knockdown, “Primo” had decked Stokes to the mat two more times with wicked combination punches. Stokes’ corner stopped the fight after 3rd knockdown.
