BOXING: HOBBS STAYS UNBEATEN WITH WIN IN CALIFORNIA
26 year old Giezwa “Gizzy” Hobbs of Saint Paul, MN improved to (4-0) on Saturday night, defeating Mexico’s Daniel Bastien by unanimous decision. Hobbs won over the California crowd with his speed and combinations.
“It was a tough fight”, Hobbs told Minnesota Fight News. “My opponents real record was 7-8 so he was very tough and took a lot of big shots. I had him hurt plenty of times and he either stayed there or moved around. The more fights I have the better I become. With every fight comes a new me. I continue to get better and better after every fight and I will continue to grow as a Man, fighter and overall person. I felt that was one of my best performances I have had since turning to a professional. As I continue to explore my journey as a professional, I’ll continue to take Minnesota with me no matter where I go. People paved the way for me and now I am doing the same.”
