BOXING: SANDS LANDS TITLE FIGHT IN RUSSIA

“The Haitian Tempation” Al Sands (20-2, 18 KO’s) has landed a big time fight on December 15th in Ekaterinburg, Russia. The 30 year old Duluth, MN cruiserweight is set to trade shots with fellow power puncher Yury Kashinsky (14-0, 13 KO’s) in Kashinsky’s home country of Russia.

being discussed for the winner. The Haiti born Duluth native held the WBA-NABA Cruiserweight title in 2014 before vacating the belt to pursue other fights. It will be Sands’ first professional bout to take place out of the Midwest while Kashinsky has yet to compete outside of Russia.

“It’s just another fight with a huge opportunity to showcase our skills” said Sands.” Yury is a tough fu*ker but we will be ready. We haven’t stopped training (since his last fight in late August) and I am looking forward to this fight. It’s time to do my job”.
The match up between Sands and Kashinsky is scheduled for ten rounds and is a supporting bout to former world title challenger Alexander Povetkin’s return against Christian Hammer.
