BOXING: ZARZAR, NICHOLSON MAKE WEIGHT

Brooklyn Park, MN cruiserweight Mengistu Zarzar and Alabama’s Deon Nicholson had an intense face-off at last night’s weigh-in’s in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Zarzar says he weighed in at 180 pounds while Nicholson was heavier at 185 pounds. The two boxers will battle tonight in a six round bout. Former Caleb Truax opponent Keandre Leatherwood is also fighting on the card. The show will take place during the The 2nd Annual Alabama Boxing Hall of Fame. Promoter Jay Deas of Skyy Promotions says there is no stream that he knows of but we will keep an eye out for a Facebook stream later tonight.
