BRANT STOPS RAINES IN HINCKLEY

Robert Brant improved to (20-0, 13 KO’s) Friday night at the Grand Casino in Hinckley, MN after stopping Delray Raines (19-13-2, 14 KO’s) less than a minute into the opening round.
Brant landed a quick and hard left uppercut to the ribs of Raines that left him frozen and stationary. Brant then poured left and rights to the head of Raines until his hurt opponents legs gave out. Raines crumbled to the floor and held his ribs with a painful grimace and referee Mark Nelson waived the fight off at :55 into the opening round.
Brant is set to defend his WBA-NABA middleweight title on May 21st in Las Vegas Nevada on CBS Sports.

Dennis Hogan (23-1, 7 KO’s) defeated Angel Hernandez (17-18-1, 13 KO’s) by unanimous decision in a spirited fight by both men. Hogan landed the harder, more telling shots throughout the six rounds of action but the veteran Hernandez put forth a good effort.
Joe Amouta won a split decision over George Carter Jr in the co-feature. The split decision goes with the ringside perspective from both fans and media that was tallied as all seemed pretty split on who gets the nod.
Markus Morris won a unanimous decision over Mike Fowler by scores of 59-54 on all three cards. Another great effort by both fighters.
Ryan Watson stopped BJ Lacy at 2:45 of round two. Corey Thompson won a unanimous decision over Michael Thunder. Philip Adyaka defeated Dale Bennett via second round TKO.
As you can see, details are falling off as I write so stay tuned Sunday for full report!
