COLTON WARNER AND THERON PAPPAS SHARE THOUGHTS AHEAD OF HEAVYWEIGHT MAIN EVENT

Colton Warner (6-2, 4 KO’s) of Apple Valley, Minnesota will face Theron “Big” Pappas (2-1-1, 2 KO’s) of Rapid City, South Dakota in Saturday night’s main event at the Treasure Island Casino in Red Wing, MN tonight. Warner put in a hard training camp and was elated when Pappas was found as an opponent on short notice. Minnesota’s Warner is coming off of a tightly contested split decision loss to fellow prospect Dajuan Calloway 9-3, 7 KO’s) of Warrensville Heights, Ohio last January.

I’m excited to be fighting at Treasure Island for the first time” said Warner. “My dad had fought there years ago and its pretty cool that now I get to as well. It’s been 15 years since they’ve held a boxing event I believe so I’m thrilled that I get to be a part of bringing boxing back to Treasure Island.”

“My training camp went great. I added Daleco James to the training team with my father, Jeff Warner and Roy Dunlap. I’ve been training out of Wurk gym and I really enjoy the atmosphere.”

“My opponent Theron Pappas is a big, strong guy and I know he will come to fight. I’m excited for us to put on a show here at home in front of my friends and family!
