DAVID MORRELL JR. SCORES ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT REEL KNOCKOUT, STOPPING FALCAO IN ROUND ONE

WBA “regular” super middleweight champion David Morrell Jr. (9-0, 8 KO’s) annihilated 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Yamaguchi Falcao (24-2-1, 10 KO’s) at 2:22 of round one on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. Falcao pressed the early action but Morrell did not sit back and watch. Rather, Morrell began unloading laser guided head and body shots which stunned Falcao who was given an 8 count. Falcao continued but was met by dynamite punches which ultimately led to a right to the head which sent Falcao face planting to the canvas where the bout was stopped in brutal fashion. Falcao was out for a few minutes and needed medical attention but appears to be OK. Morrell, who resides in Minneapolis when not in fight camp, looks destined for a major fight next time out after this stunning performance. – Photo Credit, by Hosanna Rull
