The special meeting between the two boxers so early in their careers will be the main event of the evening.

“What I’m looking to do in this fight is dominate, win, come out victorious, and prove to those who have been doubting me wrong. Training camp has been really focused and good. We have been preparing for nine weeks and have learned a lot about myself and picked up some new things. It’s going to be a great fight, expect fireworks!”

“I’m super excited for this fight, my first main event in my hometown and I’m fighting another up and coming fighter” said Jason Komenekin Jr. “It’s going to be a great fight and I can’t wait to show out next Saturday”.

“Fans need to see great fights at a local level and that’s what this fight is” said promoter Skyler Thompson. “There are a lot of questions to be answered in this fight and only 12 minutes to do it in (four rounds) so fans should expect an action filled fight. The style match up reminds me of a De La Hoya vs. Trinidad. Jason can punch like hell and there is Davonzell’s footwork and combos. Who is going to look to take the lead? These two boxers want to prove themselves by testing themselves now.”
