KICKBOXING: KAITLIN YOUNG BATTLES AUSTRALIAN CHAMP THIS SUNDAY

UPDATE: Steph Glew won a decision over Kaitlin Young on Sunday night in Australia. Young says that she was hurt in the 3rd and couldn’t take back the momentum of the fight as a result. “Congrats to Steph Glew on not only being a classy, tough opponent but also promoting her first show. Doing both is no easy task!” said Young afterwards.
With a recent fight for Invicta being moved to a later date, 3X pro Muay Thai champion Kaitlin Young jumped at the chance to take a different fight in Perth, Australia this Sunday March 3rd. Young, of Circle Pines, MN will fight in a pro K1 kickboxing bout against Australian champion Steph Glew (19-3-1) in a match scheduled for five, three minute rounds at 67kg (roughly 147 lbs.). The fight opportunity came about after Glew’s original opponent fell out do to health problems. Young told Minnesota Fight News that she has been in Bangkok, Thailand training at Dejrat Gym so had a short flight to Australia to weigh-in successfully yesterday. She will return to Thailand afterwards for a few weeks and try lining up some more fights before returing home later this March.
