KICKBOXING: SORENSON, BAHR, RICHARDSON COMPETE IN BOSNIA

Minnesotans Pam “Bam” Sorenson, Angela Bahr, and Nate “The Natural” Richardson will represent team USA at the 2019 WAKO Kickboxing World Championships in Sarajevo, Bosnia throughout the coming week. The three have made the long journey to Bosnia and now await the start of action on Tuesday.

Angela Bahr brings a ton of experience, having traveled out of Minnesota on many occasions throughout her fighting career. Bahr, of The Academy, has brought home tournament victories from Bangkok, Thailand and possesses a willingness to fight anyone. Bahr will compete at 114 pounds.

Nate Richardson brings his skilled and powerful arsenal back to team USA and there are high expectations for the most experienced MN member of the group. Richardson has fought all over the world for team USA during the past four years and will compete at 156 pounds.

Newly crowned Invicta FC Featherweight World MMA champion Pam Sorenson is set to compete in the tournaments 154 pound division. Sorenson took gold at the 2014 US Nationals and is primed for a strong showing in her first National team outing. Both Sorenson and Richardson represent The Cellar Gym.

Competition brackets will be finalized on Monday and the tournament kicks off on Tuesday morning. Bosnia is exactly 7 hours ahead of our time here in Minnesota.
