Knuckleup Sportswear hosts its 1st Afternoon of amateur boxing Saturday June 17th, 2006
Sean Hickman hosted his first Golden Gloves card at CR Billiards in Coon Rapids Saturday June 17th 2006. Although the bouts started an hour late, it was worth the wait as fans were treated to an excellent afternoon of boxing, food, and music.

The Bouts:
Bout 1
Justice Love Westside boxing vs. Hardwell Ismail White Bear Lake 100 lbs
Rd 1: Ismail comes out the aggressor and backs Justice to the ropes several times. Justice tries to counter but has problems finding the taller Ismial.
Rd 2 & 3: Were similar with Ismail being the aggressor backing Justice to the ropes landing 1-2 combos.
End Result: Ismial wins by UD.

Bout 2:
Sean Johnson, Rice Street vs. Peter Vitale, White Bear Lake
Super lightweights
Rd 1: Johnson is the aggressor landing 1-2 combos and strong lead right hands. Vitale holds his own by trying to counter.
Rd 2: Johnson continues to land lead right hands, as Vitale picks up the pace; but Johnson is so confident, he talks to his corner while in a clinch with Vitale. Johnson continues to look for the looping right hands that gave him success in Rd 1
Rd 3: Both boxers exchanged in gave and take action landing 1-2 combos that ends the Rd.
End Result: Johnson wins decision

Bout 3
Caleb Truax ACR vs. Dalton Outlaw Rice Street Light heavy weight
Rd 1: Truax comes out the aggressor landing hard shots. Outlaw tries to adjust but has difficulties.
Rd 2 & 3: Outlaw lands several good 1-2 while Truax counters with good body shots and tries to time Outlaw with right hands. Both boxers are trying to find the perfect shots.
Rd 4: Outlaw comes out strong landing 1-2 combos and several hard shots that back Truax up several times. Outlaw appears encouraged by his teammates as he picks up the pace landing several more quick shots that ends the Rd.
End Result: Truax wins decision

Bout 4
Anthony Dunaski, White Bear Lake vs. Antwon Robertson, Brothers Promo Featherweights
Rd 1: Dunaski is the aggressor landing several jabs and 1-2 shots. Robertson has problems adjusting as Dunaski continues to move forward.
Rd 2: Dunaski is still the aggressor and throws several flurries and Robertson tires to counters with 1-2 shot of his own. Dunaski appears to have the momentum of the Rd.
Rd 3: Dunaski lands a hard right hand which catches Robertson after he tries to lead with a punch of his own. Robertson tries to apply aggression, but Dunaski counters with his own, and lands 1-2 combos.
End Result: Robertson wins a highly disputed decision.

Other Bouts
Knuckleup gave fans a treat when Raul Gracia shown in all black and Danny Schlienz with the white top engaged in a professional sparing session.
In addition to Grazia and Schlienz, Boyd Davis show in red and Chris Holt in gray top also gave the crowed a nice three round professional sparring session.
Still yet, Kunckleup gave fans an opportunity to see Alex Luxby and Cerresso Fort both from Rice Street Gym, engage in a sparing war that might have been the best bout of the afternoon.
