Lemenager’s return to the ring suffers a setback
The 21 months since Amy “Hard Hands” Lemenager stepped into the ring has just been extended. During her final sparring session prior to the upcoming fight, Lemenager injured her right hand, preventing her from competing on the Ignite Fights December 4th card being held at the Canterbury Events Centre in Shakopee.
“Disappointed is an understatement- evidently my hands weren’t hard enough to prevent this kind of injury.” Lemenager said. She goes on to say “As bad as I feel, I also feel really bad for my opponent, Kate LaVigne, who I’m sure was looking forward to this as much as I was. I also want to give shout-outs and share my sincere appreciation for all the people that helped me prepare for this after being out of it for so long- my awesome coach Aaron Resberg, my sparring partner Isayah Smith, Cerresso Fort who helped me get work in while our gym was opening back up, the support from fantastic people like Caleb Truax, Joe Lorenzi, all the fans and friends who come to cheer me on, my co-workers who have been supportive throughout camp, my sponsors, and all who have offered me encouragement during this time. I promise I will be back, better and stronger than ever.”
Hard Hands is sponsored by Hoops Brewing, Cost Cutters, Focal Point Home Improvement, Gladiator Mouthguards and Ignite Fights.
