MINNEAPOLIS BOXING CLUBS LUCY LANEY AND NORTHSIDE FEATURE BOXERS OUT OF STATE THIS AFTERNOON!

Minneapolis amateur boxers are set to compete on the road this Saturday afternoon in both Ohio and Florida. Lucy Laney coach Morgan McDonald has brought two of his Nationally rated amateur boxers to the Wayman D. Palmer YWCA in Toledo, Ohio to face the current #1 Nationally rated boxers in each others weight class.

Morgan McDonald Jr. is currently rated #2 in the Nation at 110 pounds and will be facing Ohio’s Nino McCallum (rated #1 nationally). McDonald has defeated McCallum in the past and looks to follow up with a victory in the rematch.

Z’Karion Walker was last ranked #2 in the nation but did not compete at the last National tournament. Walker looks to make another statement against the current #1 Nationally ranked James Bragg of Ohio in a rematch bout. Walker last defeated Bragg when he held the number two spot.

Coach McDonalds says that his team has a good relationship with the opposition and expects great competition. Team Cartel Elite Boxing of Ohio will host the show which begins at 2 PM this afternoon.

Coach’s Phil Williams and Mohamed Kayongo have also bought a team out of state to box. Team Northside boxing will be competing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as well. Amateur boxers Jarves, Garrett, Cortez, Tre, and Jahmir plan on bringing victories back to Minnesota!
