Some of Minnesota boxing’s future stars were featured as young pros at the Saint Paul Armory in Saint Paul, Minnesota on April 25, 2003. 19 year old Jason Litzau moved to (3-0, 3 KO’s) with a third round TKO over 33 year old Daniel Schlienz (then 3-0-1, 2 KO’s) in the night’s main event. Schlienz, of Duluth, MN took some heavy shots from Saint Paul’s Litzau and put up a respectable effort despite being out gunned by the future NABF lightweight and super featherweight champion Litzau.
Former Minnesota state welterweight champion Jose Leo Moreno of Saint Paul moved to (4-0, 4 KO’s) with a second round TKO over Tyler Pogline (debut).
Former MN state cruiserweight champion “Jungle Boy” Zach Walters (3-0, 2 KO’s) of Duluth stopped veteran Gerald Shelton (8-48-3, 1 KO) by TKO in the fourth and final round of a cruiserweight bout.
White Bear Lake’s “KO” Kenny Kost won his pro debut by defeating Julio Cesar Lanzas (debut) by TKO in the fourth round in an exciting and action packed bout.
Allen Litzau (2-1, 2 KO’s) of Saint Paul scored an electrifying first round knockout over Omar Vega (debut) in a super featherweight bout. New York featherweight Gary Stark Jr. (4-0, 2 KO’s) stopped Dennis Edmundson (debut) by TKO in round two.
