MMA: LANDRUS DEFENDS TITLE AGAINST YOUNG THIS SATURDAY
A-Town Throwdown XVI takes place this Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the
Holiday Inn Austin Conference Center in Austin, MN. The main event features two of Minnesota’s top amateur lightweights, both of which have been preparing since last November to face each other. Driller Promotions 155 pound champion Noah Landrus (8-0) and challenger Davi “The Apex Predator” Young (5-0) take center stage. This is one of the most anticipated local MMA showdowns in long list of Minnesota mixed martial arts fights.
Four months will have passed since the fight was announced (READ THAT STORY HERE) and both Landrus and Young have put in the work to ensure fans will see them at their best at A-Town Throwdown XVI. There will be no excuses when the action begins.
“It was a great camp and I learned a lot of new things” said Driller champion Noah Landrus who fights out of Start BJJ in Saint Clould, MN. “I have a great team and can’t thank them all enough. I feel great at 155 pounds and I’m excited to go out and test myself against this guy. He’s a dangerous opponent and I’m looking forward to a battle. The co-main event is a featured professional bout between 160 pounders Clay Uddley and Ruben Vargas. Thomas Vievering will battle Santana Acosta for the Driller 145 pound amateur title. 14 bouts are scheduled and tickets can be purchased at the door or by visiting NITROTICKETS.COM
