NO MERCY 6 – SHOOTING STAR CASINO RESULTS
PROFESSIONAL BOUTS
Saint Cloud, Minnesota heavyweight Maurice Greene (5-1) defeated Iowa’s Parnell Davis (8-4) in front of 1450 fans last Saturday night at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, MN. The victory earned Greene the Driller Promotions interim heavyweight title and secures a showdown with Driller heavyweight champion Brian Heden at a later date.
Greene had complete control of the action and took Davis down to the mat early where he secured side control. After flattening Davis out, Greene locked in an arm triangle choke that made Davis tap at 1:20 of the opening round.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Chico Camus (18-7) ground out a three round unanimous decision win over Florida’s Andrew Whitney (14-6) in the co-main event.
Camus’ well rounded striking and grappling skills were on display once again as he beat up tough former Titan FC title challenger Whitney.
Whitney appeared to have a significant size advantage but the former UFC challenger Camus was able to use skill and leverage to make himself the stronger man on the ground. A bloodied Whitney simply had no answer for Camus’ positioning and relentless ground and pound game and had to settle for surviving to the final bell. Final scores read 30-27 on all three judges score cards. The winning streak for Camus has now hit four with all wins having taken place in Minnesota.
JP St. Louis (3-1) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin defeated Saint Cloud, Minnesota’s Collin Huckbody (2-1) by submission due to guillotine choke at 1:16 of first round.
