MMA: PIERRE-SAINT HEADLINES KOTC THIS SATURDAY

Minnesota MMA Fight News: Haiti born Ben Pierre-Saint (13 Wins-5 Losses) of Superior, Wisconsin will  headline this Saturday’s King of The Cage return to the Black Bear Casino in Carlton, MN. Despite only being 23 years old, Pierre-Saint already has 18 professional MMA bouts under his belt. He will be competing against Michigan’s Brandon Noble as he shoots for win number 19.

Pierre-Saint moved from Haiti to Stamford, Connecticut at the age of four. He wrestled from middle school to high school, winning both States and County’s twice before getting a partial scholarship to College in Grand Rapids, MN. At the age of 19, Pierre-Saint began competing professionally in MMA and hasn’t looked back.

I did that (College) for about a year and then went and tried MMA because I have always wanted to, even before I started wrestling. It was always my ultimate goal. I fight because I’m a fighter and love to compete so I figured why not do it for money, right (laughing)!

Saturday nights fight will be the first of the year for Pierre-Saint who was kept out of action because of a surgery he underwent. But prior to 2017, he was highly active, fighting 4 to 5 times a year. In his last bout on December 9 of 2016, the Northern Minnesota fighter defeated Cristobal Chavez of Texas by unanimous decision. That bout took place on the King of the Cage stage, also at the Black Bear Casino.

“I felt like a new fighter out there in my last fight” said Pierre-Saint. “I also felt like I had nothing to lose. I realize that’s when I’m the most dangerous.”
Pierre-Saint isn’t a stranger to fighting in the main event, so this weekends bout against Brandon “The Beast” Noble presents no added pressure. Noble is a tough Dearborn, Michigan fighter with a record of (4-4). He is 1-1 at King of the Cage and will be coming to Minnesota with victory on his mind.

“I know he is human like myself and that’s a fact” said Pierre Saint. “He might be bigger but there are ways defeat him still. I’m expecting a good fight but see me finishing him ultimately. I believe my training camp has been very intelligent compared to my past. Since I’ve found this gym (Inner Strength Martial Arts) way back in 2014, I no longer have to train in a garage or basement for my dreams. I’ve gained more tools and have way more knowledge now.”
“I would like to say that I will reach the pinnacle, aka the top of this sport. Whether my haters like it or not, mark my words. I don’t care what anyone thinks. I will make it happen, just watch.”
