Lee defeated Zach “The Savage” Shaw (now 7-4) of Michigan by arm triangle. Shaw came out intense and aggressive while Lee stayed composed and waited for the adrenaline rush of the opening moments to subside. The fight went to the ground with Shaw in the guard of Lee early. Shaw was game on the ground as he fought through a few submission attempts and maintained positional control. Lee changed the tide however moments later with a kimura sweep into side control. Lee locked in an arm triangle from there after slipping to mount which forced Shaw to tap with only seconds to go in the round.

“Got the win last night and damn it feels good” said Lee afterwards. “I really appreciate everyone who came out to the Myth and showed some love. “Jiu-Jitsu for the win”!

“One thing I’d like to say is that this fight was a turning point in my career. I feel this fight showed that I belong at the next level. At the age on 25, I have goals of making the UFC by 28. I wan’t to fight the best. If that includes Bellator, The Dana White Contender Series, or UFC, I’m all for it.”
