one another at Invicta 32. The action takes place at the Fire Lake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Pam Sorenson is featured in the main event as she battles undefeated Felicia Spencer (5-0) for the vacant Invicta FC Women’s Featherweight Title. Training out of The Cellar in Minneapolis, She is 2-1 fighting for Invicta and is on a two-bout win streak. Sorenson has been clawing her way towards the top and another good performance could (should) see Sorenson break into the UFC. Her opponent Spencer hails from Canada and has seen all of her victories coming inside the Invicta cage. Sorenson weighed-in yesterday at 144.6 pounds while Spencer was slightly lighter at 143.7 pounds.

“I’ve been in there before for 25 minutes. I know what it’s like,” Sorenson told MMA Sucka News. “I have the confidence that my cardio will last. My first title fight, after the third round, I was like, ‘Wow, there’s another two rounds to go?’ I’ve been there before and Felicia hasn’t.”

Patterson, right weighed-in with a 4 pound weight advantage, coming in at 154.5 while young weighed 150.5.

Kaitlin Young, of the Academy, is also featured on the show and takes on late replacement Sarah Patterson (5-4). “The Striking Viking” was set to face French featherweight Zarah Fairn Dos Santos (6-2) before visa trouble prevented Dos Santos from entering the country. Young returned with a vengeance from a four-year ring absence last August with a dominant win over previously undefeated “King” Reina Miura.  She plans on continuing the momentum that was built following the huge win.

“I’m looking to show the way I’ve improved and really fight to my ability”, said Young. “I don’t think I was doing that before. It feels pretty awesome to be back in Invicta!”

This is a big-time show involving two of Minnesota’s favorite mixed martial artists. UFC Fight Pass offers a 7-day free trial to new subscribers. Below is a compilation from National news outlets that have spoken with the two Minnesota fighters plus the official weigh-in video.
