Rondale Hubbert Returns Jan 27 Then Continues Busy Year On Feb. 16
Rondale Hubbert (15-27-3, 9 KO’s) of Duluth, MN will face Devon Lee (8-0, 7 KO’s) in an 8 round 140 pound bout on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Harrah’s Casino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. RDR Promotions presents the action. You can watch live at www.BXNGTV.com. While Hubbert has been active, Lee has not and will be returning after a 5 year ring absence. Hubbert says he was supposed to box Lee years ago and says training camp has been solid so far.
“This has to be the road win I’ve been looking for” said Hubbert when asked how training camp has gone. “I’ve been training my ass off.”
Hubbert remains Minnesota’s most active professional boxer heading into 2024 with another bout scheduled a few weeks later.
On Friday, February 16, 2024, Hubbert meets Marklin Bailey (9-13, 5 KO’s) of Durham, North Carolina in an 8 round bout at the John T Rhodes Sports Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Aaron Freeman of Biggtime Boxing Promotions and Christy Martin Promotions will present the action. Hubbert has been training for the fight since late 2023 because the card was originally set to take place on January 12 in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Hubbert believes he has a great opportunity for victory against Bailey on a pretty big show.
“I have a pretty good chance in this one” said Hubbert. “He is 9-13 but tough like me. I was training and sparring before they rescheduled so I will be ready for whatever.”
