STEWART OUTBOXES WILLIAMS, WINS BY DQ
Cruse “The Hitman” Stewart (now 8-0, 7 KO’s) defeated Jarvis Williams (8-4-1, 5 KO’s) by disqualification earlier tonight at the River Center in Davenport, Iowa. Stewart controlled the action from start to finish, landing nice combinations to the head and body while coming forward. After Stewart banked rounds one and two with steady pressure, Williams began to fade by round three. Williams was deducted a point early in the round for holding, “The Hitman” Stewart continued to unload body and head shots that scored. Shaken and gassed, Williams spit his mouth piece out twice resulting in another point being deducted following the second.
Stewart landed a hard left-right combination to the head that rocked Williams. Williams responded by landing a low blow and the referee jumped in to disqualify a fading Williams to end the fight.
It’s nice to see Minnesota boxers staying busy right now!
