Mike “The Marine” Richman of Rosemount, MN improved his Bare Knuckle Boxing record to (2-0, 2 KO’s and 2-0 pro boxing) tonight with show stealing knockout over hometown favorite Marcel Stamps (4-3) in Alabama. Stamps, 6’3″, towered over Mike Richman, 5’8″ and had an 8.5″ reach advantage but Richman’s combinations were sharp as the Minnesotan worked his way inside to find their marks. Richman went to the body early while avoiding the long jab of Stamps. A clubbing right hand from Richman caught Stamps flush on the temple which shook the hometown fighter. “The Marine” followed up with a quick right-left combination out of the southpaw stance that dropped his opponent. Stamps beat the count but fell to the canvas moments later after more pressure from Richman. The second trip to the floor was ruled a slip but Stamps stayed down looking dizzy and not wanting to continue. The fight was stopped by the referee and the official result was a TKO victory at 1:11 into the first round due to a shoulder injury to Stamps. The win gives Richman another dominant victory in bare knuckle boxing, his first fighting for BKBFC.
