The Minnesota boxing community lost an icon on December 3rd, 2016 when boxing coach and mentor Emmett Yanez passed away while surrounded by family at the age of 96. Yanez was a World War 2 veteran who went on to become an important figure for many amateur boxers in Minnesota.
